Kelsey Faykus is an artist and storyteller whose work invites people to slow down, notice beauty, and believe that goodness still exists. Through painting, illustration, and mixed media, she captures ordinary places and quiet moments that often go unseen, transforming them into reminders of hope, connection, and community.

Her love of creativity began with her grandmother, Nanny—a painter, poet, screenwriter, sculptor, and lifelong artist whose imagination and curiosity left a lasting impression. Growing up surrounded by creativity taught Kelsey that art isn't simply something we make; it's a way of seeing the world with wonder and sharing that perspective with others.

At the heart of her work is a deep belief in a Creator God who lovingly made the world and created each person in His image. Because of that, Kelsey sees creativity as more than self-expression—it is an invitation to reflect the beauty, hope, and imagination of the One who created us. Whether through a painting, an illustration, or a community project, her goal is to create work that encourages people to pause, notice, and experience the goodness woven into everyday life.

Her philosophy comes to life through projects like Paint the Town Taylor, an ongoing series celebrating the history, landmarks, and everyday charm of Taylor, Texas through original artwork, and News You'll Love Club, a monthly mail club that pairs hopeful stories with original art and simple invitations to spread kindness. Together, these projects reflect Kelsey's passion for preserving meaningful places, telling stories that matter, and creating art that helps people see the good around them—and become part of it.

Kelsey is deeply in love with Jesus - she finds purpose and feels most whole when she is creating. Being made in the image of God, she adores the creative nature of God.

She looks to living in the "life to the full" that Jesus came to give (John 10:10).
